A tote bag made in Studio Eugene David. Crafted from oilskin, or waxed cotton, fabric by Halley Stevensons in Scotland, this bag develops natural creases and traces of use over time.

The handles are made from vegetable-tanned cow leather by Italy’s Tempesti tannery, treated with its unique fattening process. Despite being 4mm thick, the leather remains soft and flexible. Each handle is cut by hand and woven using a mystery braiding technique, allowing the length to be adjusted for carrying by hand or over the shoulder.

The buckle and rivets were developed in-house. The buckle was designed to work seamlessly with the thick leather handles, while the rivets feature a sculptural form for visual balance. Inside, a toggle-button closure helps keep belongings secure. The brass hardware naturally darkens over time, complementing the vintage mood of the bag.

Designed in a practical size suitable for everyday use as well as travel.
